They are always a good source of advice especially when you have a good relationship with them. Ask them about where they think your potential lies and what thinks your strengths are.

Teaching professionals are often good people to know when it comes to thinking about employment as they can often provide you with a reference.

They may even have contacts who are employers. This is may be more likely if your teacher is a University lecturer or if you are studying a vocational course.

Universities and some colleges do actually have their own Careers services so it is important to make use of them. Although it is important that if you do get advice from a teacher to continue exploring other options.
