The Asian Disabled Peoples’ Group and Female Carers
Meets at the Sikh Community Centre every Tuesday in Leamington Spa and is supported by Naresh Jain from Council of Disabled People.
Activities have included a long arts project with Vanley Burke and Semba Jallow-Rutherford to create the Invisible Project that was exhibited at Birmingham Central Library, Rugby Library and Art Gallery and Community Arts Workshop Gallery in Leamington Spa.
Other activities – Independent Living including trips by train. Computer skills, Sewing, International Cooking, Exercise, Glass-work and producing and designing own promotional material, consultation and focus groups to produce the Children’s Guide on Disability.
Judith, Director has recently put in another application to develop and sustain the work of the group.
